ASIS International
ASIS International, headquartered in Alexandria, VA, USA, is the world's largest membership organization for security professionals. It issues certifications, standards, and guidelines for the security profession.
Founded in 1955 as the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the organization officially changed its name in 2002 to ASIS International to reflect its international expansion, which now includes 34,000+ members and 240+ local chapters worldwide. As of 2017, educational and networking events hosted by ASIS are referred to as the "Global Security Exchange (GSX).

ASIS International is a global community of security practitioners, each of whom has a role in the protection of assets - people, property, and/or information.
Our members represent virtually every industry in the public and private sectors, and organizations of all sizes. From entry-level managers to CSOs to CEOs, from security veterans to consultants and those transitioning from law enforcement or the military, the ASIS community is global and diverse.

Groups head by Senior Regional Vice Presidents (SRVP) - There are 15 Groups based on Demographic Areas. Eg. Group 12 covers Middle East & North Africa.

Regions headed by Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) - The number of region depends on number of States/ Countries. Eg. Region 12A covers Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Yemen.

Chapters head by Chapter Chair & Executive Committee​ - The number of chapter depends on members residing the local community.​​ Eg. #255 represents Doha, Qatar Chapter.

Cy A. Oatridge, CPP
2024 ASIS International President
Cy A. Oatridge, CPP, is the 69th president of ASIS International.
Oatridge is an American citizen with more than 20 years of experience working in the security sector. In 2003, Oatridge started his own protective services company, Oatridge Security Group, based in Tacoma, Washington. Oatridge has been a member of ASIS for 20 years and has served on a variety of different committees and boards across the organization.
Oatridge has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from LeTourneau University.
