BOARD CERTIFICATION

ASIS Certification

ASIS International offers a comprehensive suite of certifications designed to enhance the skills and expertise of security professionals across various domains. These certifications serve as a benchmark for excellence in the industry, providing individuals with specialized knowledge and organizations with a means to validate the proficiency of their security personnel.

1. Certified Protection Professional (CPP):
The CPP designation is the gold standard for security management professionals. It validates an individual's knowledge and skills in areas such as risk assessment, crisis management, and strategic planning. Holders of the CPP certification are recognized for their expertise in protecting people, assets, and information.

2. Professional Certified Investigator (PCI):   The PCI certification is geared towards individuals specializing in investigative roles. It covers topics such as case management, evidence collection, and legal considerations. PCI holders are equipped with the skills necessary to conduct effective and ethical investigations.

3. Physical Security Professional (PSP):
The PSP certification focuses on the physical security aspects of the industry. It is tailored for professionals involved in designing, implementing, and managing physical security systems. PSP holders demonstrate proficiency in areas such as access control, surveillance, and security architecture.

4. Associate Protection Professional (APP):
The APP designation is an entry-level certification designed for those at the beginning of their security careers. It serves as a foundational credential, covering essential concepts in security management. APP holders are recognized for their commitment to professional development in the security field.

These ASIS certifications collectively contribute to the elevation of industry standards, ensuring that security professionals are well-equipped to address the evolving challenges in today's complex security landscape. Whether seeking advanced specialization or entering the field, ASIS certifications are valuable assets for professionals and organizations committed to excellence in security.

Misrepresentation of ASIS Certifications by Fraudulent Entities

Certain private security companies are misusing the credibility of ASIS International certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, and APP by creating misleading alternatives like CxM, CxS, CxI, and CxA. They falsely incorporate terms like "International" and "Triple Crown" in their branding to imply legitimacy. These tactics are deceptive, as these certifications are not accredited by any recognized international body and should be regarded as fraudulent attempts to mislead clients and professionals.
